Key Personnel
Michael Hubicki, OALA
Manager, Landscape Architecture
Mike Hubicki joined TSH in 1987 and is Manager of the
Landscape Architecture Department. His landscape architecture
training, and practical experience working closely with
engineers and architects, have resulted in the ability
to transform our infrastructure projects into sustainable
and interesting public amenity features. His sensitivity
to site context, user preferences, aesthetics and operation/maintenance
constraints ensure that his designs are practical, responsive
and interesting.
Mr. Hubicki has developed an outstanding approach to
consultation and communication, leading the facilitation
of numerous public/private undertakings. He integrates
sustainable principles into all of his TSH projects.
In 2002, he built his own sustainable home and is living
"off grid" using renewable energy for heating
and electricity.
He is currently president of the Cobourg Union Cemetery
Board and sits on the Cobourg Heritage District Advisory
Committee. He is also a past member of the Cobourg Environmental
Advisory Committee. His expertise and home have been
recently featured in Harrowsmith County Life Magazine and on Global and CHEX TV. He speaks about energy
efficiency, conservation and the integration of renewable
energy technologies into existing and new structures.
Mr. Hubicki has also led the conceptual design and competition
submission for the Xinyu, China Sports and Culture Centre.
He spent 18 days in Nanchang, China during February
2004 managing the joint TSH and JCCDRI submission.
