South Chatham-Kent Water Treatment
Plant - Class EA
A Water and Wastewater Master Plan had been completed
for the Chatham-Kent Municipality which recommended a new water
treatment plant for the South Chatham-Kent service area. Staff
at TSH completed a Class Environmental Assessment for the new
plant.
Alternatives included a new plant at the existing
Erie Beach / Ereau WTP site and a new plant
at a new site. In addition process alternatives were evaluated
including conventional treatment, high rate treatment, pressurized
membranes and immersed memebranes.
The preferred solution was a new plant on the existing
site.
